Ready to Fence?

Whether you’re thinking of trying fencing for the first time, or an existing fencer looking for a club to join, we would love you to drop in to one of our training sessions and see what we’re all about.

We also have a number of special events and classes planned to help beginners get started.  Check the dates below.

New to Fencing?  Have a Go!

Term 4 Classes for Beginners

Saturdays in Nunawading From October 14th:
9:30am-10:30am, (ages 7-12) Swordplay Sabre
10:45am-12pm, (ages 10+)  Beginner Skills, followed by joining the sabre training.

Tuesdays From October 10th:
4:30pm-5:30pm, (ages 5-8) After-School Swordplay at Vermont South
7:30pm-9pm, (ages 10+)  Beginner Course (Sabre), followed by open training in Mitcham.

Thursdays  From October 12th:
6:30pm- Junior Epee, 7:30pm – Senior Epee, Olinda Community Hall
Beginners aged 10+ welcome at any time!
4:30pm- 5:30pm, (ages 7-12) After-School Class, Vermont South Sportlink
This class is currently full, but we should have a few openings in term 4.

School Holiday Activities

Saturday September 23rd – Sabre Try-Outs

10:30am – 11:30am, Nunawading Community Centre

Join us for a free trial session during the school holidays.  Find out a bit about the sport, then have a go with the sabre.  Ages 10 to adult.

Thursday September 28th – Bulleen Plaza Public Demo

10:30am – 1pm, Bulleen Shopping Plaza.

Fencing demonstrations, and kids have-a-go sessions at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30.  The sessions run for 30 minutes, and are completely free!

Saturday September 30th – Epee Try-Outs

10:30am – 11:30am, Nunawading Community Centre

Join us for a free trial session during the school holidays.  Find out a bit about the sport, then have a go with the epee.  Ages 10 to adult.

Sunday October 8th – Women’s Fencing Day

1pm – 5pm, Vermont South Sportlink

For girls and women of all ages, come and listen to our guest speakers over afternoon tea, then try your hand at fencing!  Again, this is a free event!
